Art and Design Focuses
Discover the users needs, define the pain points, develop a solution, deliver a product … then do it all again.
Utilizing personas, visualizations, task flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes to create user-focused solutions.
I’ve worked on short docs, music videos, news stories, non profit vignettes, and feature length films. Telling stories worth seeing.
More than simply tracing with the pen tool, I formulate a language to fit within a design system. And, I do not forget to sprinkle whimsy on top.
I focus on finding myself in the middle of the data-driven, ethical, and empathetic vin diagram.
I work diligently to create design systems that are structured for growth—like a trellis for the vine to flourish.
Managing and hiring talented designers to create impact.
I’m a Senior Designer at IDEO.org in the visual design space.
Previously, the Chief Creative Officer at UMI (the largest independently-owned and -operated African American media and publishing company), based in Chicago. Before that, I was the Art Director at the nonprofit Pure Hope and a leader in the digital design team at H. Creative Group.
My work focuses on empathy, diversity and inclusion, accessibility, and beautiful craft. My goal with any project is to provide great value to customers and stakeholders by using design thinking methodologies and philosophies.
