In 2022, IDEO.org partnered with five leading field advisors developing community safety models as alternatives to the current criminal justice system. With rising perceptions of violence pushing a return to tough-on-crime policy, the work aimed to redefine public safety, so communities have dignified ways to address harm and healing. I directed the visual system and design language, translating a complex investment and field-building strategy into clear, compelling narratives that helped align stakeholders and build buy-in. The work shaped The Just Trust's investment strategy: sustaining innovators, investing in emerging organizations, building a supportive community, and telling proactive stories to unlock funding.
